Laurel Court or Street

Laurel Street, sometimes called Laurel Court, ran northward from Spruce Street between 2nd and 3rd; it did not go through the block. It appears on the 1762 Clarkson-Biddle map. On the 1794 Scot-Allardice map it appears as Laurel Court, and another alley, York Court, cuts in eastward to the end of Laurel from 3rd Street. There is no explanation yet for the remarkably high numbers of this street.
